Financial Assistance

Scholarships

A scholarship fund is available for school year programs. Scholarships are based on income and may be applied for when enrolling in programming at Conductive Learning Center of North America. Please print and complete the application and send it to CLC along with a copy of your recent tax return. Your form can be mailed or dropped off at the office. Please note that you must also submit your session application in conjunction with your scholarship application. CLC also encourages families with financial needs to reach out to the various foundations that offer support to families of children with special needs. Our Partnerships

CLC encourages families who could benefit from financial assistance for programming to reach out to the various foundations that offer support to families of children with special needs. The list below includes some of the foundations that have provided assistance to CLC families in the past. We encourage you to contact our office if you need assistance in completing any scholarship applications. Also, please let us know if you find additional organizations that may provide support for our families, as we would like to add them to this list. Please note, any scholarships received will be applied to your student’s tuition account first, and any CLC scholarship awarded will then be applied to the remaining balance.
Children With Special Needs Fund

Typical scholarship awards are $350 for Michigan students. Application includes an Attendance Registration Form that must be completed by CLC. Please contact CLC for this form prior to submitting.

Family Hope Foundation

Lori’s Voice may provide financial assistance to children who are:

  • Under 21 years old
  • With a neuromuscular or degenerative disease (typically with mobility issues) and
  • Have a financial need.

Michigan Council for Exceptional Children Postsecondary Scholarships

The Michigan Council for Exceptional Children created the MCEC Foundation for Exceptional Children in 2001. This scholarship program is intended to provide support for educational/training opportunities when students are no longer eligible for special education (and Section 504) programs and services provided by public education (i.e., graduation or reaching 26 years of age). Awards can be granted up to $1,500 and would support anything from transportation, special equipment, tutoring, including tuition. These funds are intended to augment, not replace, funds available through other agencies.

COMPLETE APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY MAY 21, 2024.

Scholarship for Summer Camp 2024

This is an opportunity for students to apply for funding (up to $250) to attend a summer camp in Michigan (exceptions are made for specialized camps not in Michigan). These camperships are open to students who are Michigan residents, with an active Michigan IEP, and would otherwise not have an opportunity for a summer camp experience. Transportation is the responsibility of the family both financially and arrangements.

DEADLINE: Applications must be electronically submitted by April 15, 2024. Notifications will be mailed by April 30, 2024.

Michigan Elks Club

Michigan Elks Club provides ‘awards’ on a case basis. As these awards are processed through the local lodge where you live in Michigan, we recommend you contact Diane Dusendang at majorproject@mielks.org to be directed to your local lodge.
